The king among woods.

Hemlock is almost knot-free, giving every sauna a very elegant ambience.
Typical for Hemlock are mineral streaks (brown or light grey) and brownish bark inclusions.
The color is relatively uniformly light brownish.

Due to its low thermal conductivity, it is very often used in sauna construction.

B-Grade*

*For B-grade, we always recommend buying at least 10%-15% more wood than actually needed. This is a safety measure to ensure you ultimately have enough usable and well-preserved wood for your sauna construction.

Because B-grade also includes wood with knots and defective wood.

*When calculating for your sauna construction, especially note that for the board area, the wood will be 10 mm smaller when installed (due to tongue and groove).
This is important to mention so that you don't have the problem of too little sauna wood during installation.

The stated length is to be understood as a minimum length. The actual measurement may vary.

Deviations in structure and color, mineral streaks, growth-related surface and color differences are not grounds for complaint in a natural product like wood, but rather emphasize its natural authenticity and individuality.

Important note on B-grade:

With B-grade, defective woods must be expected, e.g. with isolated knots, cracks and chipped areas, which is why we recommend you to calculate 10-15% more wood.
