As of July 1, 2012, wood-burning stoves in Europe may only be placed on the market with 'CE NORM EN 15821' certification.
As of January 1, 2015, wood-burning sauna heaters must comply with an additional standard - 1.BImSchV Level 2.
Stoves that comply with 1.BImSchV Level 1 may continue to be sold according to the manufacturer, but the buyer must discuss this in advance with a chimney sweep and obtain approval.
The smaller stoves that comply with 1.BImSchV Level 1 could not be modified for technical reasons, which is why only the larger wood-burning stoves comply with 1.BImSchV Level 2.
Therefore, please clarify your plans in advance and ask your district chimney sweep which of the standards (1.BImSchV 1 or 1.BImSchV 2) your future wood-burning sauna heater must comply with.

The Harvia Linear 22 sauna heater is a source of glowing warmth and wonderful steam for medium-sized saunas. The simple yet elegant design of the stove creates a timeless style for your sauna. Through the cast-iron glass door, the glow of the fire illuminates the sauna, while also lifting the spirits. The opening direction of the door can be changed. This model also has adjustable feet, which facilitate installation and with which, for example, the height of the flue gas opening can be adjusted.
The fire chamber and combustion air ducts are designed so that the sauna heats up quickly and clean combustion is achieved. The stoves comply with the requirements for CE certification.
The recommended sauna size is 8–22 m3 and the maximum stone quantity is 40 kg.
