Important Info:

As is well known, there are many regulations in Germany. Depending on the federal state, city, and municipality, the installation of a barrel sauna (garden sauna) is equated with the (new) construction of a building. It may therefore be necessary to submit a building application. 

 
Tip:

Before buying a barrel sauna, contact the relevant building authority and ask for information. In some federal states, a garden sauna up to a certain size and volume can also be erected without a permit.
Also, be sure to mention whether you want to use a wood-fired oven or an electric sauna oven. There are also regulations that must be observed for the use of a wood-fired sauna oven. A chimney sweep must also be consulted here.

High-quality and modern wood-fired stove. The Linear 18 Compact wood-fired stove is ideal for small and medium-sized saunas and meets the emission requirements and efficiencies (BimSchV2).

The stove's advanced structure and air circulation ensure that the sauna heats up quickly.

Safety is ensured by the imperceptible double-walled construction, which keeps the sauna's wall structures cool and allows for flexible installation in various types of saunas. This sauna stove requires very small safety clearances all around (9.2 cm)

The solid frame guarantees a long service life.

Tips:

Building Permit:

Before purchasing, be sure to inquire with your local building authority whether a building permit is required.

Snow Load:

Inquire with your competent authority about the prescribed load standards.

Foundation Plan:

We recommend having a foundation built by a professional. This way, no problems due to heavy weight, moisture, or frost can occur later.

After the concrete slab has been completed and dried, it is recommended to completely seal it with roofing felt or torch-on membranes.

Foundation Size:

The foundation should be approx. 10 – 15 mm smaller than your garden sauna. This allows water to drain off the outer walls and the outside of the foundation.

Note:

If the foundation slab is larger than the footprint of the sauna or pool house, rainwater can collect around the log cabin sauna and the base frame can stand on wet ground. As a result, the wood can absorb water and begin to rot.
 
Our manufacturer's tip: Pull up the torch-on membrane or the sealing on the base frame!

Floor Insulation:

For optimal insulation, it is recommended to insulate the floor between the foundation timbers with Styrodur (thickness = 50 mm). The spacing of the foundation timbers can be varied.  

Roofing:

The included roofing felt is designed for temporary weather protection. However, it is not suitable as a permanent roof covering!
Roofs are exposed to special weather conditions. Therefore, it is recommended to consult a roofer about suitable roofing.

Windows and Doors:

The windows and doors are also delivered in untreated wood. To protect them from moisture, rain, and frost, they require a suitable surface treatment with a matching wood stain.

 Delivery:

• Delivery is by truck. It must be ensured that access to the unloading point is possible.
• Unloading is done by forklift (1.5-2t, depending on the model) or crane and must be organized and carried out by the end customer.
• Should manual unloading be necessary, truck standing time will be charged subsequently.
• The end-user is responsible for moving the outdoor sauna from the unloading point to the installation site.
